After considered study of the context and review of the clients brief, the design approach proposed was to;

1. Remove the large shed in the middle of the courtyard.
2. Retain the existing farmhouse.
3. Refurbish and improve the existing bothy.
4. Convert the stable and barn into new houses.
5. Construct two new holiday houses to complete the “4th side” of the courtyard.
