This housing comprises 11 flats for the Loreburn Housing Association on a site formerly occupied by the Palace Cinema. The building steps down in scale from three storeys at the corner of Queen Street and St Andrew Street (the same scale as the former cinema) to two storeys where it adjoins existing houses in Queen Street. High quality materials are used to enhance the existing context with a re-constituted slate tile roof, self coloured render, natural sandstone base course and string course and zinc cladding to projecting bay windows. |
