The proposal is to extend the existing street to end in a cul-de-sac, with a pair of semi-detached dwellings forming a visual stop-end. This extended street would be flanked by two terraces following the building line established by the existing houses. The development has easy access to the existing open space & play equipment. There is private garden space to the front & rear of each house & it is proposed to plant trees to enhance the streetscape. The house plan is designed to give a wide frontage to maximise the garden ground & provide a plan that can be used in different orientations. The dining/living space runs through the house to allow the dining area always to look onto the private rear garden & still provide good sunlight regardless of the orientation. The ground floors are fully wheelchair accessible to Lifetime Homes principles allowing someone who cannot manage the stairs to live on the ground floor. A covered porch provides shelter at the front door & a car can be parked alongside the front access path. |
